The Meadows Community Recreation Centre & The Meadows Library
The site of The Meadows Community Recreation Centre and The Meadows Library is located within the Meadows District Park, on the northwest corner of 17th Street and 23rd Avenue, in the Silver Berry neighbourhood.
The 234,419 square-foot facility will provide indoor and outdoor recreational opportunities, creating an active facility that is open and welcoming year round.
It will be an environmentally friendly facility, incorporating natural materials in the construction. The project is targeting LEED Silver certification, and includes sustainable features such as green roofs, efficient mechanical systems, efficient pool filtration systems, daylight harvesting, and reduced water consumption.
