Jasper Place Neighbourhoods

Revitalization efforts have been ongoing in Edmonton’s Jasper Place communities since 2004. Over that time, the City of Edmonton’s Citizen Services and Sustainable Development departments have consulted residents and business owners in the area.

Those consultations have fostered the development of a revitalization strategy, an urban design vision, ongoing work on an area redevelopment plan, and the transformation of an educational institution into a community hub.

Jasper Place Area Redevelopment Plan
The City of Edmonton is embarking on an Area Redevelopment Plan process that will establish a vision for the area’s land use and planning for the four Jasper Place neighbourhoods.

Jasper Place Revitalization
The Jasper Place Revitalization Strategy focuses on safe, connected communities where residents and business owners take pride in the place where they live and have their business.

The proposed acquisition of MacEwan University’s West Campus by the City of Edmonton will provide a great opportunity to help meet the space needs of the arts community, multicultural groups and other not-for-profits.
