What We Learned

Creating the plan was a two-and-a-half year endeavour that required balancing community input with existing City policy, and technical studies.
A number of technical studies were undertaken to help inform the Jasper Place ARP.
Mobility Assessment
The Mobility Assessment was prepared to assess the transportation and mobility characteristics as land uses transition towards the levels proposed in the ARP.
Infrastructure Assessment
The Infrastructure Assessment was undertaken to evaluate how potential future redevelopment may impact the local drainage systems.
Housing Assessment
The Housing Assessment provides a statistical “baseline” of housing in Jasper Place's four neighbourhoods, as well as demographic information.

Historic Resources Report

A high-level Historic Resource Report was completed to help inform some new policies in the second draft of the Jasper Place ARP. Historic information about Jasper Place is also included in a supplementary section called History and Context.

Learning Scenarios
Over the first two phases of the ARP process, Learning Scenarios were used to help both community members and City planners better understand the potential impacts and outcomes of different land use decisions. We have developed a short video that provides an overview of the Learning Scenarios process and the key outcomes of the exercise. You can also download a summary of key findings, or the complete Learning Scenarios Report.
