Community Advisory Committee
What is the Community Advisory Committee?
The Committee creates and maintains community involvement in the Downtown Arena project. It will advise and give recommendations to the City and the EAC during and after construction of the Downtown Arena District.
What are the benefits of the Committee?
The Committee will:
- Promote communication between groups involved in and affected by the Downtown Arena.
- Keep community members informed about the project.
- Identify impacts, opportunities and benefits for the downtown community, including local residents, businesses, and social agencies.
- Develop ideas and recommendations to improve impacts on the community.
Who is involved?
Representatives from the Edmonton Oilers administration and Arena operations participate in meetings.
The Advisory Committee is made up of representatives from each of the following groups:

- Queen Mary Park Community League
- Boyle Street Community League
- McCauley Community League
- Boyle Street Community Services
- Inner City Executive Directors
- Bissell Centre
