Community Integration

Overview
- The site complements and connects with existing downtown venues, sites and services such as the new Royal Alberta Museum, 104th Street and the Warehouse District, the 104th Street Grand Promenade, the Civic Precinct and Arts District and Jasper Avenue.
- The site has been intentionally designed to enhance walkability. Examples include the location of the plaza and the east and west neighbourhood connection; the 104th Street access to the LRT; the strong connection to 103rd Street and Jasper Avenue; and the fronting of the community rink to 105th Avenue and planned multi-use trail.
- The site is designed with view corridors from all vantage points. This ensures the site looks attractive from whatever spot you may be viewing it.
- The arena design responds and respects the priorities identified in the City of Edmonton’s Capital City Downtown Plan.
