The City is committed to ensuring a high standard of living for its citizens. To reach this goal, the City of Edmonton is revitalizing older areas and turning them into vibrant centres for community interaction. Newer neighbourhoods are being developed with a focus on pedestrian-friendly, connected communities.

109 Street Corridor Area Redevelopment Plan
Assessing the potential interest in additional redevelopment along 109 street and approaches to managing the type, quality, and appearance of redevelopment in the area.

Capital Boulevard
The City of Edmonton is investing in the downtown by renovating five blocks of 108 Street between the Legislature and MacEwan University. The new ceremonial street will be called Capital Boulevard.

Capital City Downtown Plan
An Area Redevelopment Plan committed to improving our downtown environment and experience.

City Centre Redevelopment
The City Centre Redevelopment project is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We can create a new community in the heart of the city that will bring Edmonton to the forefront of the world stage in sustainable community development.

Civic Precinct Master Plan
The City of Edmonton is creating a master plan for Churchill Square and the public space, or precinct, around it. The Civic Precinct Master Plan will be a roadmap for the implementation of improvements to the Square that will enhance its vitality in all seasons.

Downtown Arena
City Council has approved a negotiated financial framework for a new downtown arena and agreed to move ahead to buy land for the project and to start on design. 

Heritage Valley Town Centre
The Town Centre concept for this southwest development focuses on transit-oriented development characterized by pedestrian-friendly streets.

Jasper Avenue New Vision Project
The purpose of this project is to develop a vision to re-establish Jasper Avenue as the main street of Edmonton.

Old Town Fort Road Redevelopment
Explanation of the transportation portion and the land redevelopment portion of this redevelopment project.

Potter Greens Special Study
The Potter Greens Special Study is an initiative to explore how park-and-ride and transit-oriented development may be utilized to create a safe, vibrant, and attractive mixed used environment adjacent a transit terminal and a natural area in west Edmonton. 

Smart Choices
Edmonton is changing how it will grow and develop. The goal of the Smart Choices project is to help build vibrant communities and a sustainable future.

Strathcona Junction Planning Study
To establish a vision and redevelopment guidelines for areas recently added to the Strathcona Business Revitalization Zone boundaries and industrial/commercial areas south of 63 Avenue.

The Quarters Downtown
The Quarters Downtown covers approximately 18 city blocks, extending east from 97 Street to 92 Street and south from 103A Avenue to the top of the river valley. This project will play a major role in the revitalization of Downtown Edmonton.

West Rossdale Urban Design Plan
This plan establishes a shared, long term vision for this historical river valley neighbourhood located adjacent to downtown and the Alberta legislature.

Winterburn Industrial Area
Sustainable Development is working to update the area structure plan for the Winterburn Industrial Area, west of the Anthony Henday in northwest Edmonton.
