Think Twice, Stay Off the Ice!

Parents, children and pets urged to stay away from any water bodies
City of Edmonton reminds citizens that, as temperatures drop, water bodies in and around Edmonton are freezing but are not yet safe to walk on, skate on, or drive across.
The City recommends avoiding all bodies of water as colder temperatures and snow cover make them unsafe. People and their pets should stay off all bodies of water including lakes, creeks, ponds and, especially, the North Saskatchewan River.
A public information campaign was launched November 18 to support this PSA. Radio ads and print materials that support this campaign will run until December 5th.
