Specific Neighbourhood Grading Schedule Now Available
January 28, 2011
The City of Edmonton has revised its grading schedule online to include the exact dates when crews are scheduled to arrive in all 270 Edmonton neighbourhoods.
The list will be updated every day by 9:30am until grading has been completed in all neighbourhoods. Residential grading is scheduled to be finished on Saturday, February 5.
The City of Edmonton has 110 graders working on residential roads and can grade 20–25 neighbourhoods per day. Graders continue to clear residential roads until the entire job is complete.
Residents are reminded not to park beside windrows, as this can impede emergency vehicles.
“We want to thank all Edmonton drivers who are parking their vehicles so they don’t block emergency access to their streets,” said Deputy Chief John Lamb, Edmonton Fire Rescue Services. “When an emergency happens, we depend on roadway access to get to residents who need our help.”
The most current schedule can be accessed by calling 3-1-1 or visiting www.edmonton.ca/snowremoval.
