Lace up your skates and join us for a fun ice skating party to celebrate the completion of renovations and the reopening of Bill Hunter Arena.

Parking is available on north side of arena
Admission: Free admission, space in activities is limited

Enjoy family-oriented activities:

  • Reopening ceremony (1–1:15pm)
  • Drop-in public skating (1:15–3:45pm) Helmets recommended. Limited complementary skate rentals available.
  • Co-ed adult shinny hockey (4–6pm) Full equipment required. No body-checking or fighting allowed.     
  • Meet former Edmonton Olympian Doreen Ryan and see her Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games relay torch. 
  • Children’s face-painting, balloon animals, magic shows, and games (1–4pm)
  • Hot chocolate and refreshments
  • Prizes and giveaways
