Edmontonians invited to apply to serve on City boards
Vacancies are now open on three advisory committees that deal with environmental issues.
The Environmental Advisory Committee provides input and a public perspective on the City’s environmental plans. Members serve as an important connection between the City and the community. (Up to three vacancies.)
The Natural Areas Advisory Committee advises on the administration of areas of land or water that are set aside to protect and maintain biological diversity and natural resources. (Three vacancies.)
The River Valley Alliance Advisory Committee provides advice and helps generate awareness and support for the alliance. The seven Capital Region municipalities along the North Saskatchewan River built the alliance to protect, preserve and enhance the Capital Region's river valley park system for year-round accessibility and the enjoyment of its citizens and visitors. (One vacancy.)
There are also two vacancies on the Vehicle for Hire Commission. This opportunity will appeal to individuals interested in taxi and limousine service, including people involved in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
