Take ETS to the 2012 Servus Heritage Festival

Edmonton’s summer festival season continues this weekend with the 37th annual Servus Heritage Festival August 4-6, 2012 in William Hawrelak Park.

Park Closures

Public parking will not be available at William Hawrelak Park and Emily Murphy Park, except for those with passes. Festival-goers are encouraged to use ETS.

Parking in the adjacent neighbourhoods

Parking restrictions in neighbourhoods adjacent to William Hawrelak Park will be strictly enforced by bylaw officers to ensure the safe passage of emergency service vehicles. Illegally parked vehicles will be tagged and towed.
 

2012 Park & Ride Lots

ETS will operate continuous Park & Ride shuttle service at the following times and locations:

  • Saturday August 4, 2012 – 11:30am to 10pm
  • Sunday August 5, 2012 – 9:30am to 10pm
  • Monday August 6, 2012 – 9:30am to 8pm

    121 Avenue and 70 Street
  • Calder City Lot
    124 Avenue and 124 Street off Yellowhead Trail
  • Davies City Lot
    61 Avenue and 86 Street Eastbound
  • Grant MacEwan Lot
    111 Street and 104 Avenue
  • Meadows Transit Centre
    17 Street and 38 Avenue 

Pay Parking

  • University of Alberta Windsor Car Park
    116 Street and 92 Avenue
  • N.A.I.T Parkade
    118 Avenue and 107 Street
  • University Transit Centre
    89 Avenue and 114 Street
  • Street pickup is available at Bus Stop #1939 (116 Street and Jasper Avenue southbound)

Neighbourhood Pickup Routes

In addition to Park & Ride service, ETS will be providing pickup routes in the communities of Riverbend, Twin Brooks, Yellowbird, West Edmonton/Meadowlark and Callingwood/Lessard.

Neighbourhood pickup routes operate during the same hours as Park & Ride service, on a continuous 10 minute service. 

2012 Park & Ride Fares

  • Adult / Youth / Senior – $3
  • Child (6 years and under with fare-paying passenger) – Free
  • Family Fare Pass*

*Family Fare Pass (a regular Day Pass) is available at ETS retail outlets and LRT fare vending machines. Maximum of 1 adult and 4 children 12 years and under.

ETS Transfers, Monthly Passes, Adult Tickets, Youth/Senior Tickets, Annual Senior Passes, Day Passes, and Student Passes are accepted on ETS Park & Ride.

Transfers will be issued from Park & Ride buses and are valid for 90 minutes from time it is issued.

ETS Civic Holiday Service – All ETS routes will operate on their regular Sunday service schedules on the Civic Holiday, Monday August 6, 2012.

Dogs

Festival-goers are reminded that dogs are generally not permitted on parkland. (See Bylaw 2202). 

Pet owners are encouraged to leave their animals at home while attending the Servus Heritage Festival. Visit the Edmonton Humane Society website for more information about keeping your pet safe, happy and healthy this summer.
