Public Invited to View the Buena Vista/Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park Draft Master Plan

The City of Edmonton invites residents to the final public open house to review the draft Buena Vista/Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park Master Plan. This is an opportunity to learn more about the draft master plan, provide feedback and speak with project team members.

Edmontonians have been an integral part of the planning process and a great deal of the master plan has been based on their input and the knowledge gained through public consultation.

The next steps of this project are to finalize the master plan, which will be refined over the coming months and presented to City Council for review in early 2013. The goal is to create a master plan that both reflects the vision of Edmontonians for the future use of the park area and aligns with the City's strategic plan to create a more livable and sustainable Edmonton.

Project Background

The City of Edmonton has initiated preparation of a master plan that will guide the use and management of Buena Vista/Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park over the next 10 years. It will provide a vision and clear sense of direction for the park area, identify and address public needs and priorities, and provide direction for environmental protection in the park.
