Proposed Rezoning for MacEwan’s Downtown Campus

Public Meeting

June 21, 2012

Citizens are invited to a public meeting to discuss a proposed rezoning of part of Grant MacEwan University’s Downtown Campus.

Date:  Thursday June 28, 2012
Time:  4–8pm
Location:  “The Heart,” 1st floor of Robbins Health Learning Centre, MacEwan University, 10910-104 Avenue NW

The rezoning would change how the property at 10700-104 Avenue NW can be used. It is currently zoned as a Direct Development Control Provision (DC2) Zone. The proposal would change that to a broader institutional use by replacing the DC2 with an Urban Institutional (UI) Zone.

The UI Zone would allow for facilities of an educational or institutional nature and could include additional uses that would complement the institutional development on the property.

The meeting will be an opportunity to learn more about the proposal and provide your feedback to the City and property owner. Feedback will be summarized in a report to City Council before they make their decision on the rezoning.
