Proposal to Rezone Land in Malmo Plains

Citizens are invited to an open house about a rezoning proposal in the Malmo Plains neighbourhood.
Date: Monday October 22, 2012
Time: 5:30-8pm
Location: Malmo Plains Community Hall, 11525 48 Avenue
The proposal includes a layout and design for a currently undeveloped site on the west side of the neighbourhood. The applicant is proposing 3.5 storey stacked row housing developments and apartments ranging from four to eight storeys. This proposal includes seniors supportive housing, a minimum of 23% family oriented housing, and landscaped amenity areas with a park that will be accessible to the public.
This is an opportunity for citizens to learn more about the proposed rezoning and provide feedback to the City and developer. Feedback will be summarized in a report to City Council before they make their decision on the proposal.
