Northgate Transit Centre Service Changes Begin

Edmonton Transit is rebuilding both the centre island and the building structure at the Northgate Transit Centre. Bus routes using the transit centre will be relocating to different bus stops within the transit centre starting Sunday May 27, 2012.
Buses will no longer use the centre island; they will stop on the north and south sides of the transit centre. Temporary shelters are being placed at these bus stops during construction.
The building structure at Northgate Transit Centre will close on Tuesday May 22, 2012. The new structure will be larger with both heated and unheated waiting areas, and will include public washrooms. Construction is scheduled to be completed in early 2013. Project cost is $4.8 million.
