Mill Woods Recreation Centre Reopens Fitness Centre

The Mill Woods Recreation Centre fitness centre will open to the public on Monday July 23, 2012 at 5am. The arena and seniors activities centre are fully operational but the pool will continue to remain closed until further notice.
The City closed the entire facility after the basement flooded with approximately 5 feet of water during a severe storm on July 12, 2012. Repair crews are working diligently to repair damage to electrical and plumbing equipment located in the mechanical room in the basement. These systems play an important role in ensuring the water quality of the swimming pool. The City is working to get the pool reopened as quickly as possible.
