Kinsmen Aquatic Area Closes for Maintenance

August 24, 2012

On August 27, 2012 the aquatic area at Kinsmen Sports Centre will close for required maintenance.

All indoor pools at Kinsmen will be closed during the shutdown. The centre is scheduled to reopen on September 15, 2012 at 7am.

The City of Edmonton is committed to providing our recreational users with quality facilities. Regular maintenance ensures our facilities are safe, secure and clean for our patrons to fully enjoy.

Please feel free to continue your fitness and recreation activities at a neighbouring City of Edmonton Recreation Centre, including the new Commonwealth Community Recreation Centre.

Annual Facility Plus and Continuous Monthly Plus membership holders who used the Kinsmen Sports Centre a minimum of 4 times over the last 3 months will be upgraded to the All Facility Memberships. The All Facility Membership provides access to all leisure centres including the Terwillegar Community Recreation Centre.

Queen Elizabeth Outdoor Pool will remain open to provide the public with swim times and to accommodate users and swim clubs during the shutdown of the aquatics area at Kinsmen.

The public swim schedule at Queen Elizabeth pool has been adjusted.
