Happy 20th Birthday City Hall
August 24, 2012
For the past two decades, City Hall has been one of Edmonton’s most recognizable landmarks, the home of our civic leadership, and a “people place” – somewhere for the community to gather.
This award-winning building opened August 28, 1992, on the site of the former City Hall. It was designed by Edmonton architect and former Alderman Gene Dub.
Take part in the celebration! Stop in at City Hall on Tuesday August 28, 2012 between 9am and 7pm for a free birthday cupcake and refreshments. Have a balloon sculpture created especially for you by the Balloon Fairy (from noon to 2pm). Then join one of the free guided tours to learn more about municipal government, discover Edmonton's past, and marvel at City Hall's art and architecture.
