Fun Ways to Play on Family Day
February 15, 2012
Family Day is a great opportunity to check out what the City of Edmonton has to offer. From visiting a huge winter festival in the heart of downtown to strapping on your skates at an outdoor rink, there are countless things to do on Family Day – Monday, February 20, 2012.
There are special events planned at both the Muttart Conservatory and the Edmonton Valley Zoo. Spend the day learning about the plants found in different climates under the pyramids at the Muttart or discover the Arctic at the zoo and the animals which call it home.
Spend the day playing at one of the many recreation centres around the city or explore life as a squirrel at the John Janzen Nature Centre.
Don’t miss the last day of the Metropolis festival in Churchill Square with hay rides, carnival games, roving performers and more. Or, take in a free screening of “Shrek” at the Edmonton Public Library’s Family Day event.
