Open House – Jasper Place Area Redevelopment Plan
Citizens are invited to attend an open house on an Area Redevelopment Plan (ARP) for the four Jasper Place neighbourhoods of Britannia-Youngstown, Canora, Glenwood, West Jasper Place, as well as part of the Stony Plain Road Corridor.
Date: Tuesday October 16, 2012
Time: 2-8pm
Presentation: 7pm
Location: Grant MacEwan University, Centre for the Arts Campus
10045 - 155 Street
An Area Redevelopment Plan is a planning document for mature neighbourhoods that guides decisions about zoning and land use.
The ARP will be developed in collaboration with the community and will build on the existing visioning work that was done through the creation of the Jasper Place Revitalization Strategy.
“The Open House is the first step in a year long process where people in the Jasper Place communities can take part in discussions about future land use in their neighbourhoods, like the location and type of buildings that might be built in the area,” says Anne Stevenson, Principal Planner, Sustainable Development.
“The Open House is an opportunity to learn about the ARP process, tell us your priorities for the ARP process and find out all the different ways you can get involved in the conversation,” added Stevenson.
Information on the Jasper Place ARP and how you can get involved is available at www.edmonton.ca/JasperPlaceARP
