Edmonton Valley Zoo Goes Wild for World Animal Day

Animal lovers unite and join together for one special day to celebrate all creatures big and small. World Animal Day is observed around the world to acknowledge the diverse roles that animals play in our lives.
Date: Sunday October 14, 2012
Time: Noon-4 pm (Zoo is open 9:30am-6pm)
Location: Edmonton Valley Zoo (13315 Buena Vista Road)
Cost: Regular admission rates apply
The Edmonton Valley Zoo’s fourth annual World Animal Day will include plenty of activities, from a World Animal Day monster mural and a scavenger hunt to face painting and caricatures. For a change of pace, “Get Closer” with animal encounters and educational talks or present a stimulating treat or surprise to some of our animals. Enjoy crafts and cupcakes before visiting the endangered animal touch table.
Be sure to join us for the 11am elephant talk as Lucy will be collaborating with local artist Taya Ross to make a one of a kind painting!
