Discover Your Inner Animal at the Carnivale of Carnivores
October 23, 2012
In a magical masquerade presented by the Valley Zoo Development Society, you’re invited to discover your inner animal at the Carnivale of Carnivores.
Date: Saturday October 27, 2012
Location: Celtic Hall, 10104-32 Avenue
The evening will include Gypsy fire dancing, arabesque gymnastics, a performance of Homage to Birds of Prey created for this event, and up close encounters and photos with the Edmonton Valley Zoo’s Birds of Prey. Aside from the array of entertainment, guests can expect an evening of dancing and music, locally inspired hors d’oeuvres, fortune tellers, storytellers and really large puppets. Included in the evening of entertainment is a live auction.
All proceeds from this event will go to supporting the Valley Zoo Development Society, including the development of Nature’s Wild Back Yard. This is the third phase of the zoo’s revitalization and follows the development of Arctic Shores, which opened in February, and the Entry and Wander, which is scheduled to open in 2013. The Valley Zoo Development Society has committed to raising funds of $9 million for Nature’s Wild Back Yard.
Natures Wild Back Yard will be a place where the zoo’s youngest guests will have the opportunity to get closer to animals and to experience the delight of watching, interacting and bonding with animals.
Individual tickets are $125 each or packages of 10 tickets can be purchased for $1,125. Buy your tickets online or by phone at 780-496-6924.
