Confederation Arena Reopening

Confederation Arena is scheduled to re-open to the public on February 13, 2012.
The arena, located at 11204-43 Ave., was scheduled to open in October 2011 after a routine maintenance shutdown and an ice plant replacement. However, damage to the cooling system occurred while that work was being done, which delayed the opening.
During that time, the City worked closely with user groups that had booked the arena to find alternate ice time at other City-owned or private facilities.
Many important improvements were completed within the arena to address customer and operational requirements.
