City Council Appoints New Audit Committee Member

City Council has appointed Robert Bhatia to the Audit Committee, a standing committee of Council, for a two-year term ending December 31, 2014.
“I am pleased to welcome Robert as our newest member of the Audit Committee,” said Mayor Stephen Mandel. “His experience serving on public sector boards and committees will be a great asset.”
Bhatia, a former Alberta Deputy Minister, brings an understanding and appreciation of the complex operations of the City and the role of the public sector. He has a Master of Arts degree in economics.
Bhatia joins fellow public member Monica Norminton, as well as Mayor Stephen Mandel, and Councillors Jane Batty, Kim Krushell, Karen Leibovici and Linda Sloan.
