Borden Park Pool Hours Extended
July 10, 2012
The City of Edmonton is extending public swim hours at Borden Park Outdoor Pool for the remainder of this week in light of the current heat wave.
The pool, located in Borden Park adjacent to Northlands Park, will be open for public swimming from 11am to 9pm from July 11 to 15, 2012 weather conditions permitting. Normal summer hours will resume on Monday July 16, 2012 11am to 7pm. Please note, the park is under redevelopment, but the pool remains open through the summer.
As well, the public is reminded that Mill Creek Outdoor Pool, just off Whyte Avenue, is open for regular public swimming from 11am to 9pm every day through the summer outdoor pool season, weather conditions permitting.
The City operates 3 other outdoor pools which are open daily from 11am to 7pm.
People looking for other options to cool off can use one of the 7 District Park spray parks, which are operating 7 days a week from 10am to 8pm. There are also 50 neighbourhood water sites in Edmonton which the public can use at any time.
For those wanting to escape the heat, indoor pools at City of Edmonton recreation and leisure centres, are another great option.
