Prince Charles Presents Heritage Prize to City of Edmonton

Mayor Stephen Mandel has accepted a prestigious national award for municipal heritage leadership on behalf of the City from His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales.
The award ceremony was part of the royal visit to Canada November 2-12. Mayor Mandel, along with the City’s heritage planners, Robert Geldart and David Holdsworth, were presented with the award this week in Toronto at a private ceremony.
The Prince of Wales Prize is awarded annually by the Heritage Canada Foundation “for outstanding stewardship of the built heritage.”
