Nomination Requirements and Forms
Please Note: Information on this site provides an overview, but is not a substitute for the detail contained in legislation. All candidates are responsible for understanding the legislation and bylaws concerning elections, and the requirements for nomination.
All candidates running for Mayor, Councillor or School Board Trustee (or the candidate’s representative) must submit completed nomination papers to the Returning Officer on Nomination Day:

Please Note: Mailed or Faxed Nomination papers will not be accepted.
Candidates should carefully read the Nomination instructions before completing their Nomination forms. The instructions contain important information regarding the Nomination process, including Candidate qualifications, required signatures and deposit fees.
Nomination papers are legislated documents and are not to be modified in any way.
It is recommended that you print the Nomination papers on 8 1/2 x 14 legal paper, however; if you print on 8 1/2 x 11 please ensure the form is complete by comparing it to the PDF online.
Candidates are also encouraged to complete the Candidate Contact Form and/or the Official Agent Conact Form and bring it with them when they file their papers on Nomination Day.

Hard copies of the Nomination papers and instructions are available for pickup between 8:30am and 4pm Monday through Friday at the following locations:
