Advance Vote
For voter convenience, Advance Voting is available to all eligible voters.
Note: All voters will be required to provide identification that confirms their age and identity, such as an Alberta Driver's Licence or a Canadian passport. A driver's licence is the easiest choice, but there are other options.
City Hall
No matter which ward you live in, you can vote at City Hall in the Continuous Advanced Vote.
Ward voting stations
One voting station will be available in each ward on the two consecutive Saturdays prior to Election Day. Voters must vote in the ward in which they reside.
Blind, visually and physically impaired voters
All Advance Votes will offer blind, visually and physically impaired voters the opportunity to independently vote. The voting stations are equipped with an electronic ballot marking device that contains an audio component. Voters can listen to the candidate names and instruct the machine to secretly mark their ballots.
The City of Edmonton has offered equipment for the blind, visually and physically impaired to independently vote in previous elections. The advantage of the new technology is that all voters will be using the same ballot.
Special Ballots
Voters also have the option of requesting a Special Ballot if they are physically incapacitated, out of town or working the election.
