Work the Census
The City of Edmonton requires Census Workers 18 years of age or older to represent the City during the 2014 Census. Workers will go door-to-door in assigned areas to collect census information.
Requirements include:
- good interpersonal skills
- the ability to deal with sensitive issues
- a high attention to detail
- the capacity to work flexible hours including days, evenings and weekends.
This year, for the first time, residents have the option of completing the census online from April 10 – 27, 2014. Therefore, workers may be assigned to a geographically larger area and must have use of a vehicle with proof of valid insurance.
Door-to-door collection will begin May 10.
How To Apply
If you are interested in being a 2014 Census Worker, complete the Worker Application Form.
The completed application form can be mailed, emailed or faxed back to the Election and Census Office.
