Census Interview
The City receives grants from other orders of government for the people identified in this Census. Likewise, City staff plan and deliver services for the people they know exist. Ensuring you are counted is an important step in helping ensure appropriate civic services are available to you and your family.
- The census begins April 1, 2012 and will be completed on May 15, 2012.
- It will only take a few minutes to answer the questions.
- Census Workers will visit homes between 9am-9pm Monday through Saturday, and noon-9pm on Sundays.
- Census Workers will place posters in common areas of apartment and condominium complexes indicating a specific date and time in which they will collect information. Please allow them access to your building.
-
Census Workers will present photo identification with the City of Edmonton logo.
-
It takes approximately 1,400 Census Workers to cover the whole city, each assigned to a specific area. They are hired on a contract basis and are trained and authorized to collect Census data.
