Proclamation:
WHEREAS, Edmonton is a winter city filled with hardy citizens who embrace and celebrate the magic and beauty of the season;
AND WHEREAS, the City of Edmonton recognizes winter is a valuable asset offering great cultural, social and economic potential;
AND WHEREAS, Edmonton’s WinterCity Strategy aims to transform Edmonton into a world-renown northern city;
AND WHEREAS, the inaugural winter signature drink competition builds on this strategy and helps promote a fun and festive spirit in our city;
THEREFORE I, MAYOR DON IVESON, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM “ROSEMARY GINGER BEER” AN OFFICIAL DRINK OF WINTER 2014 IN EDMONTON, ALBERTA’S CAPITAL CITY.
