Sponsors & Volunteers
Root for Trees is an enhanced tree planting initiative which intends to increase tree planting within the city through continued partnerships with corporations, individual residents and community groups.
In 2014 there were 124 tree planting events and 8 special events facilitated from May to October through the Root for Trees initiative. These events increased naturalized, ornamental and fruit bearing species in parks, the river valley, along roadways, around stormwater management ponds and near community leagues.
With your help, 43,519 trees & shrubs and 4766 wildflowers were planted by 3851 volunteers!
Thank you to our partners, sponsors and donors!
