The Edmonton Experience
Research has shown us that Edmonton has what people look for and value in a place to live or visit.
Edmontonians know it. We live it. We just don’t talk much about it. We’ve been reluctant to tell our stories, our experience, to ourselves or the rest of the world.
Edmonton has the stories and experiences to tell; stories from people who were born and raised here, or those who came here and stayed; and those who visited us and returned with warm memories of their stay.
Those stories reflect what Edmonton is; a place where business and the entrepreneurial spirit thrives, where our flourishing arts, cultural and festival scene hums with year-round entertainment, where North America’s largest urban park system offers recreation for all ages, where environmental stewardship is second nature to residents.
Edmonton is a city where ideas and innovation is encouraged; where education, from kindergarten to the PhD level, is a cornerstone of the community; where innovation and research in science and medicine attracts top-flight talent; where high-quality healthcare is a foundation of our quality of life.
We’re going to start finding and sharing our stories and experiences to the people in Edmonton and the rest of the world.
The City of Edmonton is undertaking a number of initiatives to promote our city to the world. Initiatives that are true to our character and our spirit.
