Pre-Flight Program
An initiative to bring startup culture into the City and advance lean and agile principles to bring solutions quickly to Edmontonians.The Pre-Flight Program will include a series of workshops that will educate City staff in lean & agile principles. At the end of the program, staff will pitch their business ideas using Open datasets to the development community to pursue.Awareness Workshops
The City will engage the development community regularly by initiating a series of workshops to enhance entrepreneur's knowledge about City initiatives and municipal processes. Initial subjects to be discussed include the economic development of open data, analytic projects, regional open data solutions and the Internet of Things.Open Lab Collision Summits
The City will collaborate with Startup Edmonton to offer 5 summits a year covering issues relevant to Edmonton. Summit themes will be focused on Open City and Open Data initiatives and will involve Hackathon and Appathon.Civic Tech Meet Ups
The City will take an active role in engaging Civic Tech groups by releasing and profiling open datasets and activities underway within the City.For More Information
