Key Milestones

Elevate Interim Steering Committee holds its first meeting on January 28, 2013.
Administration prepares a report for the Community Services Committee and Edmonton City Council identifying initiatives and partnerships that build upon work already in progress and that will achieve vitality in various Edmonton neighbourhoods.
Senior City of Edmonton administration meets with Senior School Board Administration to collect School Board feedback on developing an Infill Action Plan Terms of Reference.
Elevate Interim Steering Committee resumes discussions on the establishment of the Edmonton Community Sustainability Partnership (ECSP). The goal is to have ECSP in place by September , 2013 so Board appointments are made by each jurisdiction post municipal election.
Edmonton Public School Board representatives meet with City Council to discuss Elevate.
Joint meeting between Senior Administrators of the City of Edmonton and the three School Divisions held in June, 2013 to share capital plan information and to jointly plan and make recommendations to ESCS in the future.

All three school boards and Edmonton City Council endorse Elevate – Report of the Community Sustainability Task Force.
Elevate implementation plan jointly prepared by City of Edmonton and Edmonton School Boards.
Workshops held between Superintendents of School Boards and Senior City of Edmonton Administration discussing the draft Elevate Implementation Plan to begin dialogue regarding working together.
Mayor Mandel attends key meetings with School Board Chairs and also with Alberta Education Minister, the Honourable Jeff Johnson, and School Board Chairs to discuss Elevate and opportunities for collaboration.
Provincial and Federal Government policy advisors accept the City Manager’s invitation to participate on the Elevate Interim Steering Committee.
Provincial and Federal representatives are appointed to the Elevate Interim Steering Committee.
