International Infrastructure Links
Below is a list of various international levels of government (federal, provincial and municipal), municipal and professional associations that pay particular attention to infrastructure issues.
America Public Works Association: supports organizations that plan, build, maintain, and improve communities.
The Institute of Asset Management: the professional body for those involved in acquisition, operation and care of physical assets – especially critical infrastructure.
Cold Regions Research and Engineering Lab: conducts research into the unique features of the world’s cold regions that impact on infrastructure.
Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia (IPWEA): supports organizations that plan, build, maintain, and improve communities.
North American Society for Trenchless Technology: promotes responsible ways to manage underground infrastructure, through trenchless technology – an engineering process for the installation, replacement or renewal of underground utilities with no or minimal excavation and surface disruption.
Transportation Research Board: promotes innovation and progress in transportation through research.
