What is Enviso - ISO 14001?
Enviso is name of the City of Edmonton's environmental management system. It is based on the international standard ISO 14001 and provides us with a systematic method of managing and improving our environmental performance.
The ISO 14001 framework helps organizations comply with environmental legislation, prevent pollution, and continually improve environmental performance. Achieving and maintaining ISO 14001 certification demonstrates that we are doing everything in our power to effectively manage our environmental responsibilities.
Community Recreation and Facilities has been deemed as one of the high environmental risk branches with the City of Edmonton. ISO 14001:2004 registration has been achieved in August 2010.
