Arts, Culture, and Heritage
Edmontonians recognize the value of arts, culture, and heritage. Edmonton has been recognized for its festivals and is known as a cultural destination, much in part to its distinctive arts, culture, and heritage scene. It is important to have opportunities to connect to those within Edmonton's communities through arts and cultural events, festivals, fairs, museums, etc.
Increasingly, Edmontonians are feeling less connected to those around them, and opportunities to meet, celebrate and gather will help to create greater connections. Currently, over half of Edmontonians visit museums and art galleries, as well as attend fairs and festivals. These opportunities are essential to the creation of vibrant, unique and diverse city.
