Classroom Energy Diet Challenge (Grades K-12)

This is a competition between Canadian classes from Kindergarten to Grade 12. As the students progress through the Challenge, they will learn valuable lessons about energy use and share that knowledge with the rest of the country.

The Challenge is about more than great classroom prizes like a $5,000 Technology Package, it’s about increasing energy awareness among Canadian youth and educators.

Climate Change Education Project (Grades K-12)

Inside Education has various programs and resources focused on climate change, including meaningful, community-based projects.

Energy Star Kids (Grades K-12)

Online activities on energy conservation.

Seeds Foundation (Grades K-12)

Curriculum-fit energy and environmental education resources for Canadian teachers and students.

Green Learning (Grades 4 and up)

Web-based teaching tools - developed by teachers, for teachers.

The Way We Green: Classroom Conversations
(Grades 10-12)

This Teacher's Guide has connections to numerous units in the Sciences, Social Studies and English courses of study.

It includes tips and resources to support your understanding of the history, goals and actions in each section of The Way We Green, and to initiate thoughtful conversation within the classroom on important issues.
