Ward 4 - Ed Gibbons
Biography
Ed Gibbons is currently serving his fifth term as a City of Edmonton Councillor representing Ward 4.
Always an active member in local sports and his community, Ed previously served as Chairman of Federation Hockey and President of Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues from 1995 - 1997. In 1988, he was honoured as the City of Edmonton's Volunteer of the Year.
On behalf of City Council, Ed supports the Council Initiative portfolios of External Affairs and Northern Relationships. He also serves as the City of Edmonton representative on the Capital Region Board and was the Co-Chair of Edmonton Salutes.
Prior to becoming a City Councillor, Ed served as an MLA for Edmonton-Manning for one term. While in the Legislature, he served as Liberal opposition critic for Municipal Affairs, Housing and Infrastructure, Gaming and Government Affairs. Before entering politics, he spent a number of years in sales and small business operation.
