The Materials Recovery Facility is an almost 64,000 square foot recycling plant at the Edmonton Waste Management Centre.

Department Mandate

Infrastructure Services manages much of the City's infrastructure above and below ground, including the City's two utilities: Land and Sanitary Drainage, and Waste Management Services as well as buildings construction and maintenance, custodial services, and landscape services. As a citizen, you can see Infrastructure Services' work when you visit a City office or drop off your household hazardous materials at an Eco Station. In the background, Infrastructure Services also manages the City's storm sewer system, stormwater management facilities, dry ponds, and composting and recycling operations.
