Description/Purpose
The Family and Community Support Services Advisory Committee provides advice to Council and the City of Edmonton to assist in long-term planning for community services in Edmonton. The Committee raises issues and offers advice on social policy, arts, culture, multiculturalism, parks, recreation and sports.
The Committee can also recommend the allocation of funds under the Family and Community Support Services Program legislation and applicable Community Investment Grants and other awards.
Meetings
The Committee meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month virtually, from 6-8pm. These meetings are live-streamed and can be watched on YouTube.
On the occasion FCSSAC meets in-person, it may be in a location from which streaming is not possible; this will be noted in the agenda when it's posted below.
