Agencies, Boards, Committees and Commissions
Each year citizens are appointed to almost 25 agencies, boards, committees, commissions, and task forces.
Council values the input of citizens appointed to these boards. Whether advisory, decision-making, quasi-judicial, or governing, all provide citizens with an opportunity to participate in the present and future direction of the city.
The Office of the City Clerk oversees board-member recruitment, appointments and training, as well as the establishment and classification of new boards, and assists Council in developing guidelines for the agencies.
