Edmontonians are encouraged to respect and comply with municipal bylaws.

The Municipal Government Act authorizes cities, such as Edmonton, to create and enforce bylaws to maintain the health, safety and wellness of the community.

Edmonton's bylaws are enacted by City Council and maintained by the Office of the City Clerk.
