The Meadows Community Rec Centre
The Meadows Community Recreation Centre and The Meadows Library is scheduled to open within the last four months of 2014. This is a general timeline based on the latest information from our construction contractors. We are committed to providing updates on our timelines for opening to the public as we get closer to the completion of construction.
The Meadows Community Recreation Centre will bring people together to enjoy sport, recreation, social and cultural activities – all under one roof!
The 234,419 square-foot facility, located within the Meadows District Park on the northeast corner of 17th Street and 23rd Avenue in the Silver Berry neighbourhood, will provide indoor and outdoor recreational opportunities for people of all ages and abilities - creating an active “community hub” that is open and welcoming year round.
The Meadows Library is part of this community hub, while The Meadows Community League will also have space integrated into the facility.
