Cross-Country Skiing

Edmonton's expansive river valley and parks system is a perfect cross-country skiing destination.

Each park listed below has an emergency phone. We recommend that you also carry a cell phone, especially if you are skiing alone or at night. Washrooms and shelters are available at all of the parks except Riverside Golf Course (no amenities) and Terwillegar (no shelters).

Ski Trail Grooming

The City follows a grooming priority to prepare the trail system. Under normal conditions, sites will be groomed in the established order until they have all been set for skiing. It may take two or three days to groom all of the sites. The grooming priority is as follows:
