Birthday Parties
Host a creative and fun birthday party! Parties are available at the City Arts Centre and Terwillegar Community Recreation Centre, Saturdays and Sundays, either in the morning or afternoon.
Arty Party
Have an arty birthday party! Each program includes an art activity (1.5 hours) and then time for cake and presents (0.5 hours).
Fee: $200
Maximum group size: 15 including the birthday child, not including adults.
Note: A minimum of 2 adults must stay with the group.
Program Length: 2 hours (this includes 1.5 hours for the art project and 0.5 hour for cake and presents)
Available: September - June, Saturdays and Sundays
Facilities: City Arts Centre and Terwillegar Community Recreation Centre
Additional Time: Additional time is available for a fee of $20/hour.
Arty Party Themes
1. Van Gogh’s Sunflowers (Ages 6 - 12)
Van Gogh is famous for his vibrant depictions of sunflowers. In this project students will create bold and beautiful flowers using oil pastels and then create a contrast background using water resist. They will also discuss looking for shapes when drawing. Each child will create their own masterpiece to take home with them.
2. Clay Animals (Ages 6 – 12)
Students will learn to work with clay and some basic techniques. Each child will create a one of a kind sculpture of their favourite animal to take home. We use air dry clay so that sculptures can go home at the end of the party.
3. Painted Tote Bags (Ages 9 – 12)
Using only the three primary colours participants will create a work of art on canvas which contains a kaleidoscope of colour. Participants will be proud to use their distinctive bags.
Kaybridge Puppet Party (Ages 3-7)
Celebrate your child's birthday party with a wonderful puppet show, then have loads of fun making puppets come alive with a short puppet program. There are a few shows to choose from depending on your child's theme.
Fee: $250
Maximum group size: 20 including the birthday child, not including adults
Note: A minimum of 2 adults must stay with the group.
Program Length: 1.5 hours (this includes 1 hour for a performance and activities and 0.5 hour for cake and presents)
Available: September - June, Saturdays and Sundays. After-school times are available pending performer availability.

Directors Cut Animation Arty Party (Ages 7-12)
Lights, camera, action! Your child will sit in the director's chair to create a short animation film with his guests. We provide the equipment, supplies and expertise; you provide the creative ideas.
Program Theme: Rock Paper Scissors
Fee: $250
Maximum group size: 10 including the birthday child, not including adults. Each extra participant is an extra $15.
Note: A minimum of 2 adults must stay with the group.
Program Length: 2.5 hours (this includes 2 hours for the workshop and 0.5 hour for cake and presents)
Available: September - June, Saturdays and Sundays
Facilities: Terwillegar Community Recreation Centre

Once the date has been confirmed and the party booked you will receive a confirmation letter in the mail, which will contain instructions for payment.
