Outdoor Skating at City Hall Plaza

Live jazz and swing bands in City Hall entertain the skaters at City Hall Plaza.
Arenas (Indoor)
Indoor arenas are open year-round for public skating, shinny hockey, hockey, ringette, figure skating, and more. In the summer some neighbourhood arenas have non-ice sports activities like lacrosse, ball hockey, and inline hockey.
Ice Rinks (Outdoor)
Outdoor ice rinks are open when weather permits in Castle Downs Park, Mill Woods Park, Jackie Parker Park, Rundle Park, City Hall, Victoria Park Oval, and Hawrelak Park.
The Edmonton Sport Council has a listing of all Community League outdoor rinks.
Outdoor Skating
Skaters have several choices for public outdoor ice skating surfaces in Edmonton, including stormwater lakes when the ice is at least 6 inches thick.
