Pottery - Level 1

Ages: 18+ years

This class is designed for those new to pottery. Learn moulding, shaping, and throwing clay to produce pots and hand made treasures. A variety of basic methods are taught to create clay forms by hand and on the wheel. Glazing and decorating techniques are also covered.

All supplies, glazing, and firing costs included.

Note: Students will need to purchase a set of pottery tools for $20. The instructor will discuss the tools on your first class.

Pottery Textured Hand Building

Ages: 18+ years

This fun course taps into your innate artistic talents using clay for pinching, coiling, and slab building. Learn a variety of decorating techniques like embossing, stamping, wax resist, burnishing, surface scratching and carving, piercing, and a brief introduction to sgraffito, mishima, and cameo.

Take home 6-10 colourful projects. Simple, relaxing, and exciting beyond words.

White Clay - Level 2

Ages: 18+ years

Expand your clay horizons with a porcelain-like white clay. The process is the same but your projects will be lighter, finer and more translucent.

Instructor: Priscilla Thomas
