Park Washrooms and Port-a-potty's

Parks public washrooms are open from 9am to 9pm in the summer. Fall and winter they are open from 9am to dusk. Openings may vary slightly from location to location.

Some washrooms are closed from Thanksgiving weekend to May when it is warm enough that water lines completely thaw. In spring, Port-a-potty’s may be placed at River Valley comfort stations until main washrooms are open.

Hawrelak Park washrooms at shelters #1, #2 and the playground are closed for the winter. Laurier Park washroom is also closed for the winter.

Washroom/Port-a-potty Maintenance

The River Valley staff is available from 6am to 11pm daily. If a washroom or port-a-potty needs to be cleaned or requires maintenance, contact 311.

City Park Location

Parks Branch maintains specific Port-a-Potty’s in City recreation areas out side the River Valley.

If a port-a-potty on the list below needs to be cleaned or requires maintenance contact 311.

South District:

• 3 in Mill Woods Park
• One at Gateway Park.

West District:

• Coronation Park picnic site
(approximately 113 Ave. & 139 St.).
• Castledowns Spray Park/Skateboard Park
(approximately 153 Ave. & 119 St.).

East District:

• Has none

Community League Port-a-Potty's

Some Community Leagues place Port-a-Potty’s in their recreation areas. You will have to contact the community league to arrange service.
